Mom just decided to start up a blog for me. We'll probably go to US, Michigan in the end of april. Dad got a job there coaching soccer til end of june. Staying with grammy and grampy all summer yeah!!! So this blog is for family and friends so they can see what's going on in my life. Feels like a lot is happening theese days, yesterday we went out for my first real trip in the carriage. And I slept through it all... And today we went to the US ambassy to pick up my passport :) Now I can go almost whereever I want!!! We are still waiting for my swedish passport but one passport should be enough. We decided to get the swedish one to be sure to get a passport before the summer. We weren't sure to get the american one fast enough, but now we know that it only takes a week for US ambassy and much longer for the swedish...
After picking up the passport we went to IKEA. Slept through that to...
Mom and me are spending almost all days with Erla, that is off work because she just had a knee surgery... Lucky us to have her... But mostly I am just eating, sleeping, burping and squiqing. A couple of days ago I started trying my big boy voice by screeming. One loud screem and then I keep quiet to see the reaction from mom and dad. And if I don't get attention I try some more screems and it usually works fine.
By the way, today I am turning into a BIG (or bigger) BOY. My due date was today March 29th, same day as moms sister turns 27 years. Happy birthday aunt Ann-Sofie!! You are getting old!!
For them that doesn't know, I was in a bit hurry to get out, I decided that I wanted to see mom and dad, not just hear them, January 20th. 10 weeks before due date. I was sitting in the womb so they had to take me out with a c-section so I wouldn't get strangled and it took a while to get me out. Good abdominal muscles my mom HAD.
Dad was watching and he wanted to come and help the two doctors and cut a bigger hole to easilly get me out. But finally they got me out and I surprised everyone by started breathing myself almost straight away. I didn't get to see mom but Dad got to see me when I got out. I was taken to intensive care straight away to check that everything was ok and I was put in a nice and warm incubator. I also got IV and something called C-PAP to help me a bit with my breathing, it was like walking against the wind, getting wind in your nose. Like I would know... but that's what the doctors told mom and dad.
My birth weight was 1474 grams and i was 39 cm. Pretty big... And with big bruises on my feet from getting pulled out. 3 hours after the birth I finally got to meet Mom. My dad is good but I also wanted my mom :) Both mom and dad cried and I wanted to tell them that I was good. But the doctors told them that instead. Mom and dad thought that I was the most beautiful in the world and so very small. And I can't do anything else than agree with them... About the beautiful part...
For the first day I had to be in solarium because I was a bit yellow (to high bilirubin, something about the liver function) And I stayed in the incubator for maybe 2 weeks. The hospital was my home for my first 5,5 week and the nurses were really great there. And mom and dad got to be there almost as much as they wanted. March 1th I got to move home after weeks of hard work ;) trying getting bigger. I was weighting 2672 grams and 46,5 cm. What a big boy!!! It was a big day even if I slept through it ;)
Todays weight is probably around 3800-4000 grams, the nurse comes tuesday and then I get to know my weight again.
I am smiling a lot, especially if I am full. If I am hungry I get very angry and irritated. Mom, I wonder from whom I got that???Sometimes it's gas that makes me smile but 6 weeks ago I started giving mom and dad a real smiles when they were talking to me. And when grammy Vorenkamp was here I always smiled to her, she was talking, reading and singing and I loved it. Grammy gave me a caterpillar that I am talking to when I am in my bassinet. Hope to see grammy soon again!! And to see grampy!!! And Allie and Merc. And grandpa Persson and Ann-Catrin are coming here in three weeks. Can't wait!!!
I hope everyone that is checking up on me here will wright comments.
Now it's feeding time :)
