Hey Everybody,

       I wanted to send you the latest videos of my development- I am in a gymnastics class with mamma and daddy gives me guitar and recorder lessons.  And I'm learning to sing twinkle twinkle little star :)  Hope everyone is doing well!  It's COLD in Iceland today... super windy and a few snowflakes come down.

Hey Everybody!

      My tricycle is very beautiful but I can't ride it yet.  It's fun to be pushed on, and it's fun to push it around, and when i get a bit longer i'll be able to ride it!  YAY!

     I love dancing.  Elmo and Mr Noodle taught me how and I do it all the time now.  It's so much fun.   Can't wait to show everyone at christmas.

Hey Everyone!

      I haven't told you yet about my trip to grammy and grampy in Michigan.  It was SO much fun.  I went just with mamma for the first two weeks, and daddy joined later.  It was nice to play with everyone in Brutus, but Grampy was lots of fun to play with.  He's very silly.  Grammy was the best for hugs and kisses.  I love them both very much and miss them, but mommy and daddy say I'll see them around christmas.

Highlights

Hey everyone,

        I will only touch on some highlights of the summer-

        First of all, check out Daddy's tulips!  Mommy didn't let me eat them though :(  

       

        These are taken from mine and Askur's favorite place to walk.  It's called Heidmork, or something like that, perhaps some letters are wrong, and the d isn't really a d but dth, a special letter this keyboard doesn't have, and I think the o should have two dots above it, but only mommy would know for sure.  But the land would be just as pretty given any other name... I think Bill Shakespeare said something similar to that once.  Just cause I'm young doesn't mean I don't know all about the writings of Billy.  Anyway, this place is about 10 minutes driving away, and it is sooooo beautiful.  There are woods (sort of), open land, pretty flowers, lots of nice birdies... it's really wonderful.  On this walk we had to keep stopping cause daddy has to stretch and take breaks.  Mommy says he's getting old.  And by the end I was fast asleep in the backpack... the fresh air is so nice for napping!

         As you perhaps know, I like to tease Askur.  Sometimes I crawl into the cage with him and shut the door on both of us.  Other times I stay outside and close the door on him.  This time I went in, Askur went out, and daddy shut the door and took a picture.

         I also thought I should include pictures of some of Askur's sleeping places.  It is so funny that he still thinks he's little and crawls into spaces way too small for him.

          In this picture you can see me helping out around the house.  Mommy and Daddy both say I must get that from Mommy.

   Oh, and Daddy said I'm allowed to drink beer during the European Championships.  Ok, perhaps I just helped myself while no one was looking and they thought it was cute.  

       Today is just rain, rain, and more rain.  Can't complain, the summer has been so nice!!  And daddy took me to the kiddy playground for an hour before the rain came, and maybe we'll go to the pool this afternoon.  IT IS SO MUCH FUN!!!  Mommy and daddy splash with me and scoot me around the water, and daddy even took me down a BIG waterslide.  Scary but fun.

A Visit from Sofia and Gota

Hey everyone,

       These are old pictures taken from our Swedish friend Sofia.  She came to Iceland with a nice lady named Gota (should be an o with two dots over), and they took me and Askur for walks almost everyday.  They are the best. You'll have to forgive me for letting the blog get out of chronological order, but it can get very busy teasing Askur, learning to walk, trying new sounds, and finding new ways to get into trouble. :)

Daddy finally figured out how to put this video on the website.  It only took him a month.  Silly dada.  We've had good weather here, and I continue to show mom and dad that I can walk on my own, I just don't like to do it that often.  It's nice to hold their hands.  I'm sure dada will have video of me walking really soon, so stay tuned!  Love to all!

My Brother Askur

Hello Everyone!

      I have a brother!  His name is Askur.  He licks my face, especially after meal times.  I take his toys and keep them away from him, and talk to him while we play.  Sometimes he comes to close and I push him away.  As you can see, he let me into his cage today.  I like it in the cage because daddy and mommy tell me not to go there.

      It was great to see my grandparents and aunts and uncles in Mexico.  More pictures to come!  Hope everyone is doing well, I'm going to go play more with Askur now.

Hi everybody!

       I can't wait to see grammy and grampy and all my aunts and uncles and cousins!!!  In the meantime I am staying busy...  I love it when mommy and daddy read me books.  And today dad was playing with a pop-up book, and kept making the mouse pop out at me, it was so funny!  I'm attaching a video so you can see.

       Daddy just put me down for a nap, but I'm using the time to practice talking and singing.  Hehehehe.

Life is great!

I love being home with dad!!! But when mom comes home from work I run to her as fast as I can. Nope, I am not walking yet, I get to hold dad's fingers :) Mom says that it feels like I am more stabile when I run then when I walk... They don't understand that I am planning to start running, just skip the walking step ;)

This morning mom was sweeping the floor while I was sitting in the dirt. Why shouldn't I help? I started sweeping the floor with my hand and all over where it was dirty I tried to sweep :) I have never seen mom smile so much (yes I have, but it was a big smile, i promise). I think she was happy that we are now three that can clean at home. We should not mention though, that one of my favorite hobbies these days is to rip toilet paper and magazines. And in addition to that, I shuffle in my food so fast ( I am scared dad will steel it from me) and a lot of it ends on the kitchen floor, so the kitchen floor is full of dirt too. It works good as a food bank. Whenever I am hungry I can crawl in there and grab a bite ;) I think mom and dad are missing Allie for more than one reason ;)

I just discovered a new word..."Mpa"... It's "lampa" and it's a swedish word for lamp/light. I am trying to say upp (swedish for up) too, but I just get it out as "uh". And when mom and dad are talking a lot I try to talk too. But the only thing that happens is that I move my mouth and no sound comes...

I am starting to get the hang of how to get down from the couch in one peace. After trying to get down in some different ways, I have to agree with mom and dad: it's best to crawl down backwards... But I had to try to be sure ;) I don't want them to think that they always know best, even if they were right this time...

Hi Everyone!

It is a beautiful day in Iceland! Fresh snow and sunshine. Daddy is going to take me for a walk soon. I just wanted to let everyone know that I've started singing lessons, and I'm not sure whether the notes are right or not, but I'm very very loud. :)

A happy Christmas boy

Home sweet home

I am home. After a loooooooong trip from Michigan it was so nice to get home. We have been home for approx. 2 weeks and it´s great. I have been to the doctor twice, but just for checks. And I am good they say, as if I didn´t know that... ;)

I have added 5 centimiters since in november and I am 10.2 kg. I love to eat :) I am just preparing my body by carbohydrat loading so I can run around like a maniac when I start walking. Right now I don´t feel secure enough to walk all by myself but it´s no problem to walk around holding on to things. Today I discovered that I can run when mom and dad are holding my hands, and I love it. I laugh and run...

I miss grammy, grampy, Allie and kitty... I love crawling to kitty and lay down on top of him and hug him. He´s so soft!! Allie and me got to be better friend´s as soon as I started eating by myself... She was just hanging around by my chair waiting for me to drop something for her. I guess she misses me (read: my food) as much as I miss her ;) I know mom and dad want´s to have a dog. More now than before... They just realized what a heavy job Allie was doing cleaning up after meon the floor in Brutus...

Yesterday mom started work again. I think she likes it. It´ll be hard to not have her home all day, but me and dad are having so much fun... Don´t tell my mom though...
